The Mechanical Instructor is accountable to teach mechanical curriculum to Manufacturing Technicians to build their foundation Mechanical skills. The central focus of the role is to model, coach and develop capability across all departments in the plant in accordance with content and delivery standards. The Mechanical Instructor needs to demonstrate safety first mindset, subject matter expertise and professional instruction capabilities.

- Contract Duration: 12-Months
- Worksite Location: Albuquerque, NM
The Mechanical Instructor is accountable to teach mechanical curriculum to Manufacturing Technicians to build their foundation Mechanical skills. The central focus of the role is to model, coach and develop capability across all departments in the plant in accordance with content and delivery standards. The Mechanical Instructor needs to demonstrate safety first mindset, subject matter expertise and professional instruction capabilities.
What you’ll do as the Mechanical Instructor:
- Learn content and delivery for 11 Technical/Mechanical standard courses (including hands-on demonstrations, and knowledge transfer verification) in our Mechanical Lab
- Instruct groups of 6 to 10 students - will partner with additional Instructor(s)
- Participate in content modification and creation
- Mechanical Lab upkeep duties (including staging of lab stations and exercises)
- Build foundational Mechanical skills in Manufacturing Technicians across multiple departments
- Demonstrated ability to instruct with safety first mindset
- Demonstrated strong mechanical and maintenance background
- Demonstrated strong teaching and presentation skills, including ability to adjust to various learning styles
- Ability to perform hands-on demonstrations
- Ability to assess knowledge transfer
- Ability to consistently instruct curriculum according to Tech/Mech program defined standards
- Strong interpersonal skills to create a positive learning environment
- Strong learning agility
- Give and receive feedback and coach others as needed
