The Human Resources Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new employees, from offer acceptance through their first few months with the company. - Worksite Location: Minneapolis, MN
The Human Resources Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding experience for new employees, from offer acceptance through their first few months with the company. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
What you will do as a Human Resources Assistant:
- Organize and facilitate comprehensive new hire orientations to introduce company culture, policies, procedures, and benefits
- Prepare orientation materials, including presentations, handouts, and digital resources
- Guide new employees through the completion of the necessary paperwork, including employment contracts, tax forms, benefits enrollment, and confidentiality agreements
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all required documentation to relevant departments
- Coordinate training sessions and workshops to support new employees' skill development and integration into their teams
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new employees during their onboarding process, addressing any questions, concerns, or issues that may arise
- Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to onboarding processes and documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all onboarding activities and employee information
- Regularly review and assess the effectiveness of the onboarding process, seeking feedback from new employees and supervisors
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in HR, preferably with a focus on employee onboarding
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer-focused mindset and the ability to empathize with new employees' needs and concerns
