- Worksite Location: On-site in Spirit Lake, Iowa
As a Financial Controller, you will be a crucial member of our finance team, responsible for overseeing and managing the financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. Your role will involve financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support informed decision-making and drive operational efficiency.
What you will do as the Operations Financial Controller:
- Develop and manage budgets for the Spirit Lake, IA manufacturing facility ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to assess the performance of manufacturing operations, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.
- Monitor plant-related costs, analyze cost drivers, and implement cost-saving strategies to optimize the manufacturing and operating process.
- Help control unit costs and manage assets effectively through analysis and coordination of processes, including impairments and write-offs.
- Provide Conversion, Working Capital, raw and packaging material cost forecasting, warehouse, transportation, and volume/mix analysis.
- Analyze contracts and agreements to evaluate profitability and negotiate favorable terms when necessary.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements for operations.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and internal policies in all related activities.
- Develop financial forecasts and models to predict future trends and assist in strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits related to finances.
What you will bring to the Operations Financial Controller role:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in manufacturing or operations.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in SAP.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Must have an analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
