Part-Time Language Services Manager

- Worksite Location: Eagan, MN | Hybrid
- Compensation: $54.00-$64.00 per hour
What you’ll do as the Language Services Manager:
- Lead the strategic development and implementation of Blue Cross’ enterprise Language Services Center
- Manage end-to-end translation, interpretation, and localization projects for medical and member-facing content
- Ensure compliance with Health Equity Accreditation (HEA), federal, and state language access regulations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with medical, legal, compliance, and customer support teams to support Limited English Proficient (LEP) members
- Oversee quality control processes to maintain accuracy, tone, and cultural sensitivity in all translated materials
- Manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and timely delivery
- Develop and maintain reporting systems to track key metrics and present updates to leadership
- Supervise and mentor bilingual staff and translators, fostering professional growth and ensuring operational excellence
What you’ll bring to the Language Services Manager role:
- 5+ years of professional experience in language services management (translation, interpretation, localization)
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s or master’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, or related field preferred
- Strong leadership skills with experience guiding diverse, multilingual teams
- Proven project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Proficiency in translation management tools, content management systems, and relevant software applications
- Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, and healthcare language access requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a focus on cultural and linguistic accuracy
- Analytical mindset with experience using data insights to inform strategy and improve efficiency
