Payroll Manager

- Worksite Location:Â Minnetonka, MN | Hybrid
- Compensation:Â $90,000-$115,000 per year
What you’ll do as the Payroll Manager:
- Lead payroll processing in JD Edwards, integrated with Oracle HCM Cloud
- Review and process payroll data, benefits, deductions, and final payments
- Prepare and file union reports, payroll summaries, and tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Respond to audits and support tax return preparation
- Identify process improvements and collaborate with HR, accounting, and IT to enhance payroll efficiency
- Stay current on payroll regulations and participate in professional groups
- Implement system updates and maintain payroll data integrity
- Oversee payroll reporting and fulfill ad-hoc report requests
- Manage payroll-related projects, ensuring system accuracy and compliance
- Supervise payroll team operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strong customer service
- Recruit, mentor, and develop staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required
- Minimum of 10 years’ corporate payroll production and processing experience
- Experience working for a construction company and union environment preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud/JD Edwards Enterprise One or similar ERP system
- Strong attention to detail, high degree of accuracy
- Ability to work independently under pressure, meet deadlines, make timely decisions, and maintain confidential information appropriately
- Multi-state payroll experience
- Strong computer skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
