• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
• Worksite Location: Willmar, Starbuck, St. Joseph, Redwood Falls, Paynesville, Melrose, Glenwood, or Alexandria, MN
• Compensation: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
  
  

What a Payroll Specialist will do:

• Gather information on hours worked for each employee
• Calculate correct amounts, including overtime, deductions, and bonuses, using a payroll system
• Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks
• Administer payment statements to personnel electronically or on paper
• Process taxes and employee benefit payments
• Maintain accurate records of wage rates, compensation benefits, and new hire information
• Address payroll-related issues and questions from employees and supervisors
• Prepare reports for management and finance teams
• Prepare quarterly payroll and tax reports
• Communicate directly with clients on various payroll issues
  
  

What you’ll bring to the role as the Payroll Specialist: 

• 2–5+ years of experience in payroll processing, including quarterly and year-end tax reports and complex payroll
• Experience with full payroll processing (not limited to uploading into systems such as ADP)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
• Must currently live in Minnesota to be considered for this position
