• Worksite Location: St. Cloud, MN (onsite, possible Hybrid flex)
• $75,000-$85,000 per year
• Direct Hire
• Future growth into Assistant Controller type of position

What you’ll do as the Sr. Accountant:

• Partner with logistics and HR functions to ensure all union and non-union personnel payroll related documentation is obtained and maintained
• Ensure the timely processing of all employee data and time as entered by employees and approved by management per EBI standard process via the electronic time submission application
• Ensure overall accuracy of payroll related data processed including abiding by applicable union related CBAs and state/federal regulations
• Act as the main point of contact for all company personnel on all payroll related questions and discrepancies
• Lead the recurring and ad hoc reporting and distribution of all payroll related data, including employee earnings reports, PTO, union hours, wages, and benefits
• Lead the set up and maintenance of vendor accounts within accounting software ensuring proper onboarding forms are distributed and completed accurately by new vendors
• Assist with verification of goods and services charges via purchase order review and invoice approval routing as needed
• Lead the annual preparation of vendor related tax documents including 1099 form preparation, distribution, and filing activities for EBI ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness

What you’ll bring to the Sr. Accountant role:

• Associate degree in a related field and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of directly related work experience
• Strong knowledge of multi-state wage and hour, and tax laws
• Proficiency with computers and bookkeeping software, specifically Foundation, MS Windows, XP (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Exceptional time management and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive
• Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
• Ability to exercise diplomacy, judgement, and discretion, particularly related to sensitive or confidential information
