Peripheral Operator (Tues-Fri 7:30-4:00pm, Saturday 6-2:30pm)

- Contract Duration:Â 6-months
- Worksite Location:Â Norcross, GA (onsite)Â
- Compensation:Â $18/hour
- Schedule: Tues-Sat 7:30am-4:00pm & Saturday 6am-2:30pm)
What you’ll do as the Peripheral Operator:
- Operate peripheral equipment such as printers, mail processing machines, material handling, and infrastructure support equipment under the supervision of senior staff
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment jams and service issues at the operator level
- Prepare production control reports under guidance from more senior operators or supervisors
- Perform clerical tasks, including managing inventory and controlling outgoing products manually or using automated systems
- Interact with computer terminals or personal computers to queue work, input data, and respond to console messages
- Assist in manual document assembly, postage application, and packaging as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure efficient workflow and production
What you’ll bring to the Peripheral Operator role:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) or higher education
- 1+ years of relevant experience in data center/print center operations (preferred)
- Understanding of computer peripheral hardware or the ability to quickly learn and adapt
- Strong basic math skills to support product control and inventory tasks
- Problem-solving skills to address peripheral equipment jams and resolve production issues, with the ability to escalate problems to a supervisor when necessary
- Ability to identify discrepancies in production, including incorrect document sequencing, printing quality issues, and unexpected delays in hardware operation
- Clear communication skills to effectively interact with unit leads, managers, and home office programmers
- Competence in independently planning my job layout, materials, and tasks to ensure production goals are met
