Contract Duration: 6 months
Worksite Location: Sugar Land, TX

Procurement Support Specialist Job Description:
The main function of a Procurement Support Specialist is to provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests and performing clerical functions. A typical Procurement Support Specialist acts as information and communication managers for an office.

What you’ll do as a Procurement Support Specialist:

Coordinate with Business Leads suppliers in scope for each GEP implementation waves
Work with change management lead on the supplier communication strategy
Facilitate supplier onboarding process in GEP throughout the project implementation globally
Identify best supplier enablement strategy with sourcing team and coordinate supplier buying channel implementation with
Implement and maintain punch-out catalog
Serve as the subject matter expert for GEP Smart Application
Analyze and identify production tickets for functional & technical issues
Participate in best practice sharing sessions with other GEP customers to identify areas of opportunity
Set up and maintain GEP system configurations including but not limited to building and maintaining user roles, workflows, process forms/ templates, reports and master data setups

What you’ll bring to the Procurement Support Specialist role:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related discipline preferred
Strong experience in SAP and an E-Procurement solution is preferred. (GEP is a plus)
5+ years relevant working experience in sourcing, procurement, accounts payable or related field
Knowledge of SAP MM Purchasing
Ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams in global locations
Must be customer service oriented
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish relationships quickly and build trust
Experience in identifying and implementing procurement operational and process efficiency
