This role is responsible for all aspects of daily management of assigned vendors and internal resources specific to the category. A Product Manager is responsible for product selection, implementation and category profitability. The Product Manager plans, organizes and ensures their product categories meet the standards of the company, and exceeds company goals in product performance, customer satisfaction and sales performance.

Product Manager Job Description:
Product Managers are an expert in their assigned product category and work with multiple teams, internal resources and Management stakeholders to develop a product strategy for the product category. This role is responsible for all aspects of daily management of assigned vendors and internal resources specific to the category. A Product Manager is responsible for product selection, implementation and category profitability. The Product Manager plans, organizes and ensures their product categories meet the standards of the company, and exceeds company goals in product performance, customer satisfaction and sales performance.
What you’ll do as the Product Manager:
- Analyze sales volume performance, manage product additions/removals, oversee SKUs and product mapping, and collaborate on product launches while maintaining catalog and online data accuracy
- Maintain healthy inventory by working with Purchasing and Logistics, devise end-of-life strategies for products, and optimize dead/excess inventory to meet ROI and AOP goals
- Conduct sales forecasting, ensure timely order fulfillment, collaborate with Sales and Purchasing on inventory strategies, and drive continuous improvement in packaging, shipping, and cost-saving opportunities
- Manage profit/loss responsibilities for the product category, ensuring market competitiveness and profitability aligns with business plans and long-term goals
- Maintain key vendor relationships, align negotiations with market demands and corporate objectives, and work on special purchases and payment terms for promotional or seasonal projects
- Lead market research to align product strategy with business goals, collaborate with Marketing and Sales to develop merchandising and sales programs, and manage marketing content within the CMS database
What you’ll bring to the Product Manager role:
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, but prior work experience combined with some formal education will be considered as an acceptable alternative
- 2+ years of previous product management experience and training
- 2+ years of experience with an ERP; inventory system and other tertiary programs
- Strong background in the power sports industry
- Intermediate to advanced PC skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to perform data analysis for market trends, compose business forecasts and calculate profit margins
- Creative problem solving and negotiation abilities to solve complex issues
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
