- Contract Duration: 12 months
- Worksite Location: Monroe, NC
The person hired for the position of Production Planner will manage the supply chain product flow to support customer requirements. As a Production Planner, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.Â
What you’ll do as the Production Planner:
- Lead cross-functional projects across the business to effectively drive change in service, cost, and inventory
- Develop and maintain operating rhythms to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand
- Maintain relevant planning master data and support new product introduction and phase-in phase-out material business processes, and associated change management processes
- Provide a high degree of planning analysis to support decision-making
- Publish and present service and inventory metrics and results
- Identify and lead projects that improve supply chain speed and inventory investment
- Review and report on project progress with management
- Actively manage working and non-working inventories in assigned businesses to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets
- Utilize Supply Chain tools and processes such as SAP, EWM, Power BI
- Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory
- Utilize Supply Chain parameter management tools to optimize planning parameters (safety stock, lot size, EOQ, Loop & Supermarket, lead time)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- 3+ combined years of experience in supply chain, transportation, logistics, manufacturing, production, and/or customer service in a private, public, government or military environment
- Proficient in Microsoft office – (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
