Job Description
As a Contingent Worker in Procurement, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day procurement and purchasing activities in support of business operations. This role serves as a key liaison between suppliers, internal stakeholders, and procurement teams to ensure timely processing of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, supplier communications, and issue resolution. The position requires strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills to support purchasing processes while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support stakeholder requests related to procurement transactions, vendor onboarding, and purchasing processes.
- Investigate and resolve invoice, receiving, and purchase order exceptions in collaboration with Accounts Payable and business partners.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, pricing discrepancies, and purchasing inquiries.
- Monitor open purchase orders and proactively resolve issues that may impact supply continuity.
- Maintain accurate procurement master data and purchasing records.
- Support reporting, metrics tracking, and procurement operational performance reviews.
- Escalate critical supplier, delivery, or transactional issues through appropriate channels.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and customer service.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, customer service, or a related operational role.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, S4 Hana, or equivalent).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or related discipline.
- Experience supporting global procurement operations.
- Knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Experience interacting directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with purchasing compliance requirements and procurement controls.
