- Contract Duration: 6 months
- Worksite Location: Wayzata, MN | Hybrid
What you’ll do as a Rail Transportation Professional:
- Assist in managing supply chain activities to bring products and ingredients into warehouses, vendors, plants, or directly to customers
- Complete necessary documentation and data entry to facilitate the smooth and timely movement of goods
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and partners to manage order and shipment changes, enabling optimal buying and selling decisions to reduce costs and improve profitability
- Execute specialized transportation and logistics tasks, including material resource planning, claims handling, and customer service
- Facilitate shipments based on purchase and sales contracts, process internal and external purchase orders and invoices
- Perform data entry and updates using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, spreadsheets, and databases
- Resolve basic logistics issues and provide recommendations to enhance freight movements and cost efficiency
- Support the inbound movement of raw commodity ingredients and finished goods, ensuring efficient logistics operations
- Manage logistics activities, including transportation capacity planning, third-party warehouse management, vendor coordination, container administration, and import shipments
What you’ll bring to the Rail Transportation Professional role:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or transportation
- Microsoft Office applications experience
- Previous support role experience for rail related movement
