Senior Accountant
Job Description
- Contract Duration:Â 12 months
- Worksite Location:Â Princeton, NJÂ
Â
- Assist accounting associates with maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts and financial records in general and cost accounting functions
- Collect and analyze financial data to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Support invoicing, assist in monthly status reporting, and contribute to monthly and year-end financial closings
- Review and verify transactions and journal entries to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Ensure adherence to internal procedures and controls, with a focus on compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) initiatives
- Perform account analysis and reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure proper resolution
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to support financial reporting and operational goals
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a corporate setting
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles
- Experience with account analysis and reconciliations
- Familiarity with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and communication skills
