Senior Accountant

Job Description
- Worksite Location: Willmar, MN
This is a role with varied duties and will work closely with company ownership and upper management. We are seeking someone willing and capable to do the front-line work necessary for financial recordkeeping, who is also capable of broader financial analysis.
What you’ll do as the Senior Accountant:
- Complete bank deposits, reconciliation, and management of multiple bank accounts
- Manage petty cash for office and special uses
- Prepare in-house financial statements and provision to our CPA for tax return preparation
- Review of asset listings & depreciation schedules
- Complete the final, detailed review of company accounts, financials, and tax returns
- Submit quarterly tax estimates & payments
- Complete the weekly review of payables for correct account coding, proper capitalization treatment, and invoice accuracy
- Prepare month-end reports on revenue invoiced & summarize for sales & solid waste tax remittance and reporting
- Remit 401K withholdings to our account manager for retirement funds, manage and remit all payroll taxes, and gather any requested information for workers comp audits
- Manage company profit sharing plan, including terminations & new entrants, ensure all IRS-mandated notices regarding investments
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as a trainer or educator, preferably in the affordable housing or property management industry
- Familiarity with the Rent Cafe platform, Yardi Voyager, or similar property management software is highly desirable
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences effectively
- Demonstrated ability to assess training needs, develop training materials, and evaluate training effectiveness
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to provide timely and efficient support
- Willingness to travel occasionally for in-person training sessions, conferences, or meetings
