Senior Buyer- Part Time
Job Description
- Worksite Location: Greeley, CO
- Compensation: $35-38/hr
Schedule:
- Part-time: Core hours from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Monday–Friday
- Requires on-site presence at least 95% of the time
- Occasional travel to the Nunn site (~30 minutes away)
- Develop and administer reporting procedures enabling supplier collaboration that brings spending efficiency, improved on-time-delivery, and material productivity
- Lead and participate in projects involving supplier improvements, technology, and acquisition
- Utilize your negotiation skills to ensure we achieve win-win transactions
- Manage and review the purchase order system (MRP) to ensure it is accurate, up-to-date and consistently meets the requirements of the organization to achieve availability of parts for on-time delivery to our customers
- Identify raw material requirements from production specifications, operational schedules, and engineering quality requirements. Collaborate with engineering to recommend alternative parts and share new supplier products
- Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders that accurately reflect price, schedule, terms, and conditions as negotiated with suppliers
- Lead and execute on sourcing projects to achieve improvements in areas such as material productivity, technological advancements, delivery and inventory improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing/strategic sourcing
- Ability to travel up to 20%
- Strong leadership, team, and people management skills
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning and Managing ERP Master DataÂ
- Experience in effective negotiation tactics along with demonstrated business and financial acumen
- Well-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Active membership with American Purchasing Society, APICs, or other related supply chain organizations
- Ability to effectively interface and communicate with peers across the company, externally to customers, suppliers, and partners
- Advanced PC skills (specifically Excel, Power Point & Word) including knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems
