Worksite Location: Chicago, IL
Compensation: $90,000-$105,000 annually

Senior Reinsurance Accountant Job Description:
The Senior Reinsurance Accountant will support both GAAP and Statutory reinsurance reporting. They will be responsible for assumed and ceded reinsurance reporting, reconciliations, and regulatory reporting duties.

What you’ll do as the Senior Reinsurance Accountant:

Recruit new brokers to commit to sell through outbound phone calls and face to face meetings
Expand the number of contracts for each broker within both Medicare and ancillary products lines
Work closely internal sales, operations, marketing, and ancillary sales teams to drive new business
Train key brokers and agencies to sell more effectively
Manage key relationships within the territory to ensure optimal commitment and performance
Become product expert for the market(s) served and share knowledge with rest of the team
Build and maintain strong relationships with all carrier reps in territory
Maintain and update CRM system to ensure agent records are up to date
Leverage social media and other tools to develop and manage new agent leads

What you’ll bring to the Senior Reinsurance Accountant role:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting
CPA is desirable but not required
4-6 years minimum of accounting professional work experience
Reinsurance Insurance experience
Experience with statutory reporting software is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office packages to an intermediate level for Excel
