As a Senior UI/UX designer, you will bring empathy for consumers to uncover opportunities and design simple and delightful experiences that meet their needs, achieve business goals, and position as the trusted health plan of choice.
In this role the contractor be responsible for development of user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity designs and overall design direction and documentation to accommodate experience and brand updates for all Dean Health Plan (DHP) and Well First digital properties as well as design guidance and configuration of vended solutions to align with the updated DHP brand and shift from Well First to branding.

- Worksite Location: Minnetonka, MN
As a Senior UI/UX designer, you will bring empathy for consumers to uncover opportunities and design simple and delightful experiences that meet their needs, achieve business goals, and position as the trusted health plan of choice.
In this role the contractor be responsible for development of user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity designs and overall design direction and documentation to accommodate experience and brand updates for all Dean Health Plan (DHP) and Well First digital properties as well as design guidance and configuration of vended solutions to align with the updated DHP brand and shift from Well First to branding.
What you’ll do as the Senior UX/UI Designer:
- Contribute updates to our design pattern library and Sketch library assets as well as help define UI/UX best practices while keeping accessibility in mind along the way.
- Guide application of brand standards to digital properties and experiences, ensuring a consistent, effective application of the brand.
- Create user-centered wireframes, flow diagrams, prototypes, etc., to identify opportunities, communicate, and deliver design ideas and solutions for our digital experiences.
- Partner with our Digital Operations and Content & Site Management teams to detail needs and implement updates to design and flow of consumer experiences on public and authenticated as well as third party platforms.
- Work collaboratively with our product and marketing teams to design, test and optimize solutions that meet both consumer and business needs. This could be for shoppers, members, providers, employers, or brokers.
- Work in an agile environment, define and advocate for user needs and collaborate on deliverables.
- Identify testing opportunities and measures of success for experience deliverables to demonstrate their value and promote continual improvement.
- Participate in user research and apply learnings to optimize designs.
- Bachelor’s degree or greater
- 5+ years relevant digital experience
- 1+ years healthcare industry experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing a high level of design expertise, a user-centric approach, as well as an ability to design for different audiences, devices and channels in a way that supports business goals.
- Experienced in providing design direction for digital experiences and assets
- Experienced in using design, wire-framing and prototyping tools like Sketch
- Experienced in using and contributing to design systems
- Experienced in designing for both web and mobile, considering user needs across channels
- Familiar with current WCAG 2.x AA guidelines and their application to experience design
- Ability to translate complex interactions and processes into simple, intuitive experiences
- Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- Flexible to changing business and creative requirements
