Senior Vendor Specialist Job Description
This role will be responsible for oversight of the vendor ecosystem, ensuring program needs provided by outsourced work are met through established vendor relationships, creation of processes to promote vendor accountability, and performance monitoring. In addition, this role will work together with internal stakeholders for sourcing new vendors and installing new vendor capabilities as well as collaborate with vendors to improve their solution offerings to ensure reliably meets its goals and fulfills client requirements. #LI-Remote

Senior Vendor Specialist Job Description
This role will be responsible for oversight of the vendor ecosystem, ensuring program needs provided by outsourced work are met through established vendor relationships, creation of processes to promote vendor accountability, and performance monitoring. In addition, this role will work together with internal stakeholders for sourcing new vendors and installing new vendor capabilities as well as collaborate with vendors to improve their solution offerings to ensure reliably meets its goals and fulfills client requirements. #LI-Remote
What you'll do as a Senior Vendor Specialist:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the services provided by current vendors and their impact to operations and goals
- Monitor product needs and identify gaps and failure modes in vendor capabilities that could put product offerings at risk
- Work with leadership and relationship owners on strategies to strengthen vendor partnerships and encourage vendors to meet or exceed goals
- Prepare technical reports for leadership regarding vendor ecosystem status and performance for leadership
- Partner with Quality and Regulatory Affairs, Data Insights, and relationship owners to define expected vendor performance using established or newly defined metrics
- Drive cross-enterprise governance of critical vendors to establish best practices, set and maintain high performance standards and monitor continuous improvement initiatives
- Coordinate remediation activities for addressing significant vendor performance issues in collaboration with Operations and Quality and Regulatory Affairs teams
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, Human Services or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing a portfolio of vendors, which includes, but is not limited to, vendor management, relationship management, service level agreements and contract administration
- Ability for occasional travel, <10%
- Demonstrated ability to assess root issues and provide excellent viable solutions for the business and to the customer
