About the Role
We are hiring a Level 1 Service Desk Analyst to support a dynamic media organization with operations across northern Minnesota. This company operates in the broadcasting and digital media space, serving multiple communities with local radio and digital content. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working independently, and building relationships across teams. You’ll be the first point of contact for IT support at a campus with no existing IT presence, making this a high-impact opportunity.
Job Description
As a Service Desk Analyst, you will provide front-line technical support to both local and remote employees. You’ll manage incoming support requests, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure timely resolution to maintain a positive user experience. This role requires travel between regional offices and occasional visits to transmitter sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage support tickets using the current SharePoint-based system (new system pending).
- Provide hands-on support for PCs, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot issues across enterprise and hosted software (e.g., Office 365, Active Directory, Adobe Cloud, ADP).
- Maintain compliance with security protocols and handle sensitive data responsibly.
- Assist in building a knowledge base for common issues and solutions.
- Travel up to 25% annually to support offices in Bemidji, Alexandria, Baxter, and Brainerd.
- Work hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (flexibility required).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a technical support or help desk role.
- Familiarity with Windows environments and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience with ticketing systems, remote desktop tools, and user management.
- Strong communication skills—both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and travel between sites with reliable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Recent graduates encouraged to apply.
- Experience with ITIL practices and Apple products.
- Technical certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity basics and data privacy standards.
- Outgoing, friendly personality with a customer-first mindset.
- Interest or experience in Level 2 support (networking, infrastructure, firewalls).
