The individual will support the Shipment Control Center to secure capacity for full truckloads and expedite shipments into and out of manufacturing and Distribution Center sites in the U.S. Additionally, they will assist in the regular generation and distribution of supplier performance scorecards.

- Contract Duration: 12 months
- Worksite Location: 100% remote
The individual will support the Shipment Control Center to secure capacity for full truckloads and expedite shipments into and out of manufacturing and Distribution Center sites in the U.S. Additionally, they will assist in the regular generation and distribution of supplier performance scorecards.
What you’ll do as the Logistics Specialist:
- Field and process requests via phone or e-mail to secure truck or intermodal capacity for shipments moving within the U.S. as well as cross border into Canada and Mexico
- Secure capacity for expedited shipments and monitor shipment progress from shipment to delivery
- Generate and distribute carrier performance scorecards
- Provide training to transportation suppliers on the use of dispatch system (LCS)
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college required; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college preferred
- 1+ years of experience in the transportation industry
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to function well in a team environment
- Ability to work independently
- Sense of urgency
