We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Software Architect focusing on Business Applications at our corporate office. This position is responsible for the technical/architectural direction of the team. This is a hands-on position which leads broad systems analysis, design, and development initiatives within the Business Applications team.

- Worksite Location: Moorhead, MN
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Software Architect focusing on Business Applications at our corporate office. This position is responsible for the technical/architectural direction of the team. This is a hands-on position which leads broad systems analysis, design, and development initiatives within the Business Applications team.
What a Software Architect will be responsible for:
- Lead and promote a positive workplace culture through American Crystal Sugar Corporation values
- Provide technical/architectural direction for the Business Applications team in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications and integrations
- Is accountable for all systems owned and supported by the Business Application team, their place in the software landscape and all associated integrations
- Create and maintain software development best practices in the areas of coding practices, unit testing, framework development, software systems design, and technical documentation
- Craft and maintain current systems overviews and their integrated relationships
- Design and develop overall system interfaces between business applications including both hardware and software
- Create roadmap for technical debt management on all codebases supported
- Perform hands-on development of existing and new software applications
- Research and provide business justifications for technology roadmap
- Responsible for providing software development effort estimations on projects
- Define and incorporate system security technologies and design
- A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Services, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Engineering is preferred or relevant experience in software development
- Up to 10+ ears proficiency using .NET framework (C#, ASP.NET, XML), version control (git, TFS) and REST API’s. The team solutions are written in C#, VB.NET, HTML5, CSS, ASP.NET, PHP, COBOL, Synon and ABAP. Database technologies: SQL Server, Oracle
- Up to 5+ years dependable fundamentals in object-oriented design, database design, algorithms & data structures, and parallel programming
- Up to 3+ years hands-on experience with IaaS and SaaS
