- Salary: $75,000 to $90,000 per year
- Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
What you will do as a Software Engineer C++:
- Evaluate and develop technically superior and cost-effective solutions
- Be an integral part of a cross-functional Engineering team developing new products and features
- Review customer-specific requirements and satisfy customer needs through the design, test, and documentation of unique solutions for products
- Ensure quality by creating verification and testing protocols to validate designs
- Create and support documentation for software release and newly developed features, providing content for training both internal and external users
- Provide technical support to customers, manufacturing, and service personnel
- Lead training classes for small groups (internal employees or customers) in areas of expertise
What you will bring to the role as a Software Engineer C++:
- 2+ years of experience as an engineer supporting capital equipment
- Experience in C/C++ based programming languages
- Experience with inter-computer communication protocols (serial, TCP/IP, USB, etc.)
- Adept problem solver with a natural curiosity for technology and a drive to excel
- Knowledge of CPU to a hardware interface, including external devices is a plus
- Familiar with real-time coding constraints is a plus
- Familiar with control systems theory is a plus
- Experience in embedded software solutions is a plus
- Experience in multi-axis machine tool control is a plus
- Experience with real-time device/Fieldbus communication (EtherCAT, Profibus, DeviceNet, etc.) is a plus
