Our recruiting firm is partnering with a global leader in science, manufacturing, and innovation to identify a Sourcing Associate. This organization develops products and solutions across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, transportation, consumer goods, and industrial technologies. The Sourcing Associate will support procurement and sourcing operations by partnering with stakeholders, managing supplier-related activities, and driving efficient sourcing processes for professional services categories.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with procurement experience, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Job Description
The Sourcing Associate will support sourcing and procurement activities across professional services categories while ensuring compliance with established procurement processes and policies. This position serves as a key operational partner to internal stakeholders and category management teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support stakeholders and category teams with professional services sourcing initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
  • Conduct pricing analyses and support supplier negotiations.
  • Extract, maintain, and analyze data from procurement systems and collaboration platforms, including SharePoint.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to perform data analysis, generate reports, and develop dashboards.
  • Maintain accurate sourcing, procurement, and contract documentation.
  • Review and verify purchase requests for completeness, accuracy, and policy compliance.
  • Support contract renewals, amendments, and extensions.
  • Assist with day-to-day transactional procurement activities.
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver efficient and effective procurement services.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding sourcing and operational matters.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for procurement-related operational issues and follow up on outstanding requests and actions.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in any field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in indirect procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or a related function.
  • Experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, contract negotiation, and RFx processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and general computer applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting professional services sourcing categories.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, supplier management, and contract administration.
  • Experience working with SharePoint or similar document management platforms.
  • Knowledge of RFP development, bid evaluation, and pricing analysis.
  • Experience creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Excel.
  • Exposure to procurement, sourcing, or contract management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed corporate environment.
