Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal accounting policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, HR, and management, to ensure the financial health of the company.
- Drive process improvements and suggest strategies to enhance financial efficiency and accuracy.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to foster their professional growth.
- Stay updated on accounting trends and best practices to ensure the organization is operating with the most current financial standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- QuickBooks and Excel.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
