• Contract Duration: 12-Months 
• Worksite Location: Remote 

 
What you’ll do as the Supply Chain Accounting Lead: 

• Provide accounting expertise and business partnership in focus areas such as inventory (including LIFO), supplier financing, leases, fixed assets, and cost accounting
• Collaborate with other Pet functions to improve the processes that interact with accounting and improve results through strong relationships
• Communicate with senior leadership to drive the accuracy of financial results, functional excellence, and development of accounting and controls capabilities throughout the organization
• Build functional excellence in accounting capability across the Supply Chain Organization at Pet and ensure balance between GAO strategy and business needs
• Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures, controls and processes. Develop sustainable solutions for all identified control gaps and ensure they are implemented in a manner consistent with global standard processes
• Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close, and ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
• Participate in the GAO Supply Chain Accounting & Control Global Community of Practice
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with SEC and US GAAP requirements.

 
What you’ll bring to the Supply Chain Accounting Lead role: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 5+ years of experience in accounting and controls
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
• Proficiency in and ability to navigate between multiple technologies including Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, etc.)
• Must be results-oriented, proactive, and agile
• Ability to navigate a complex organization and build trusting relationships
• Ability to effectively communicate and influence across the organization
• High level of efficiency and accuracy
• Attention to detail and ability to analyze large amounts of data
• Strong ERP knowledge
