Our client, a leading provider of insurance brokerage and risk management solutions, is seeking a Temporary Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant to support its Commercial Property & Casualty team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting claims operations while collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including adjusters and insurance carriers.
Job Description
The Workers’ Compensation Claims Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Claims Team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of claims and related documentation. This role supports independent adjusters and helps maintain compliance with carrier requirements and reporting deadlines.
  • Transcribe dictation and draft, edit, format, and proofread reports for submission to insurance carriers
  • Submit finalized reports via email and carrier-specific online platforms according to established guidelines
  • Receive, confirm, and set up new claims in internal systems
  • Maintain positive working relationships with adjusters, carriers, and internal stakeholders
  • Provide clerical support, including filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
  • Process vendor invoices and submit payment requests to the accounting team
  • Generate invoices for services performed, track payments, and maintain accurate billing records
  • Prepare and submit bi-monthly payment reports to accounting
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness within the agency management system
  • Assist with additional administrative tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative or general office experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including professional phone and listening abilities
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Commitment to attending continuing education as required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience supporting claims, insurance, or risk management functions
  • Familiarity with agency management systems or claims processing platforms
