Project Manager | Transportation

- Worksite Location:Â Maplewood, MN
- Compensation:Â $25-30/hr
What you’ll do as the Project Manager | Transportation:
- Lead inbound operational performance for USAC, including track and trace, training, updates, and process development with plants, subcontractors, and subsidiaries
- Deliver cost savings and service improvements aligned with broader supply chain and manufacturing goals
- Drive value creation by initiating and leading optimization and efficiency projects
- Provide transportation analysis and support to planning, manufacturing, and supply chain teams on rates, transit times, service issues, and modal shifts
- Act as an operational leader for transit time adjustments within SAP-TM and ensure data accuracy
- Serve as the subject matter expert for track and trace functionality in USAC Transportation
- Support manufacturing and vendor/DC sites with transportation needs
- Partner with global logistics leaders to ensure alignment between USAC transportation and global strategies
What you’ll bring to the Project Manager | Transportation role:Â
- 3+ years of supply chain operations experience in private, public, government, or military settings
- Logistics and multi-modal operations expertise across modes such as FTL, intermodal, LTL, rail, flat-bed, parcel, dedicated, and cartage
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access), SAP, TMS, WMS, and ideally Tableau
- Hands-on experience booking transportation services including truckload, intermodal, LTL, flat-bed, and expedited shipments
- Financial acumen with the ability to link operational performance to cost and service outcomes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with cross-functional stakeholders
- Advanced Microsoft Suite capabilities (particularly Excel)
- Experience with SAP’s Transportation Module or logistics technology implementations preferred
- Bachelor’s degree (completed and verified prior to start)
