About the Role
Our client is a large, multi-channel retail organization operating at enterprise scale, supporting millions of customers and employees across digital and physical experiences. They are investing heavily in user-centered design and research to inform product, service, and organizational decisions.
We are seeking a Contract UX Research Program Manager to support the planning, prioritization, and operational management of UX Research across a broad and complex portfolio. This role partners closely with UX Research leadership and cross-functional teams to improve how research is planned, tracked, measured, and communicated across the enterprise.
Job Description
In this role, you will enable UX Research teams to operate more effectively by creating structure, clarity, and visibility across active and planned research work. You will help align research efforts to business priorities, manage intake and capacity, and establish consistent ways to scope, measure, and demonstrate research impact.
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Partnering with UX Research leadership to manage research operations across enterprise- and portfolio-level initiatives
  • Establishing and maintaining operating rhythms, intake processes, trackers, dashboards, and reporting for research work
  • Supporting prioritization of research initiatives based on business goals, customer and employee needs, and team capacity
  • Creating and evolving frameworks that connect research intake, execution, outputs, outcomes, and measurable business impact
  • Defining and implementing approaches to assess the impact of research on product direction, experience quality, and organizational decision-making
  • Improving visibility into active, upcoming, and completed studies across teams and stakeholders

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in UX Operations, Research Operations, Program Management, or a closely related field
  • Experience supporting UX Research and Design teams within a highly matrixed, product-driven organization
  • Working knowledge of research planning, study tracking, research repositories, and operational workflows
  • Proven experience developing frameworks to measure research impact from intake through adoption and outcomes
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting research across complex user journeys, including employee, enterprise, or business partner audiences
  • Exposure to service design, systems thinking, or cross-channel experience initiatives
  • Background working at enterprise scale within retail, e-commerce, or similarly complex digital ecosystems
