Worksite Location: Minnetonka, MN

What you’ll do as a Vice President of Strategic Finance:

Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies and planning processes that support the company’s business objectives and long-term growth plans
Lead the annual budgeting process, including the preparation of financial forecasts, scenario planning, and variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met
Provide in-depth financial analysis and build financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and performance improvement efforts
Establish and monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress against strategic goals and provide regular reports to the executive team
Collaborate with senior management, department heads, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business planning and decision-making
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements, and drive initiatives to enhance profitability
Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and competitive landscape to provide strategic insights and recommendations
Support capital allocation decisions, including evaluation of funding strategies and investment opportunities
Identify and assess financial risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure robust risk management practices are in place
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies to maintain the company’s financial integrity, including oversight of tax work and liaising with external tax advisors

What you’ll bring to the Vice President of Strategic Finance role:

An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or another business-related field
8-10+ years of progressive work experience in Financial Operations within the Financial Services industry
Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills
Proficient knowledge of US GAAP, FASB ASC
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry best practices
Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and driving positive change
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of providing strategic financial insights
Strong financial modeling skills, along with an understanding of financial reporting and cash flow information
Ability to recognize and mitigate financial risk
Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Solid computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and working with a large ERP/Financial System
